North America is the continent in the northern half of Earth, located to the east of the Pacific Ocean, the west of the Atlantic Ocean, the south of the Arctic Ocean, and the north of South America. It is the north part of the Americas.

The countries of Central America are also considered part of North America. They are: Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama.

All of the countries and islands in the Caribbean are also part of North America.

Greenland, ruled by Denmark, is the large island to the northeast of Canada, and is also considered part of North America.
