Division
Division is an arithmetic operation used to search out how many times the number will go into another number. For example, two goes into nine, four and the half times. This can also be written down as 9 ÷ 2 = 4.5, or or spoken verbally as "nine over two is four and the half." The numbers in the operation have special names: Dividend ÷ divisor = quotient.
