Brazil is the country in South America, and is the world's fifth largest country, with 180 million people. Most people in Brazil speak Portuguese. The capital is Brasília, the city planned and built from 1957 to 1960. Brazil also has the world's fourth largest city, São Paulo.

Brazil has the world's largest forest, the Amazon Rainforest, which makes up 40% of the country's land. Brazil also has other types of land; are is the type of savanna called cerrado; are is also the dry plant region named caatinga'.
